Inspired by the backwaters of Keralam. The idea was to bring out the magic of sparkling turquoise water with deep green undertones against a bold red boat. The lotus adds a touch of beauty at the corner, reminding us of the back waters of Keralam, lined on one side by discreet lane of coconut trees and a row of mountains glowing under the sun towards the horizon. The painting is a set up imagined on a humid sunny afternoon or an evening, a while before sun set.
