Shreya Rajagopal Hulithaana

Orthodontist, Artist

What began as a hobby soon tuned into passion. I've been painting since the age of 6. I love exploring different materials and styles, but instinctively stick to my comfort zone - tigers. Out of curiosity, I started with one tiger, which lead on to painting many more. The shades of vivid colors impress me. Tigers are my obsession on canvas. I also love the fact how there are no rules and no boundaries in art.

I am an Orthodontist and I juggle multiple things at once. Experimenting with colors, forms and technique, only the best that meet the eyes are put up here. Beauty of art, in my opinion, lies in the eyes of the beholder. Each one to their own perspectives.

How did I get here?

Hard work. I saw clarity in how I wanted to develop my paintings and where I wanted to see them. Selling them wasn't my goal, but I realized that I want them to be cherished and valued. In a world that runs on pretence, I chose to boldly launch my tigers. All the other paintings came after them. Now I have gone back to bringing in more tigers and will put them up when they are ready.
