Our Story

Sanemi is a Sanskrit word that stands for ''complete''. Complete in our world of sense is to have a form of satiety in the work we do, things we possess, the way we live and be one with the creation. Our paintings are a way of expression, made out of free will, with devotion. Our primary intention was never to sell, as each painting means a lot to the artist, eventually becoming a tiny phase of their life. Until one day the artist realizes, of what joy is it, to contain?! What will holding bring, when spreading the work can bring delight to not one but many! And so the difficult decision was taken, out of selflessness, out of purpose, the purpose to show the world of perspectives, ideas and the vastness of beauty and the joy it brings to the bearer. We put our heads together, wrecked some brains and finally worked out a way and means to reach anyone who wishes to reach out to us. Our paintings are genuine, handmade and certified by the artist. We sell paintings of a single artist, who spends days bringing it to form and works on it until they find it to be complete. By then, the artist has fallen in love with it such that they the feel a slight prick when it departs. But isn't this the law of nature as well? For how long are we here? Until we no longer are. Like a painting changing its owners, we hop from one life to another, one world to another until we cease to exist. Or do we become one with the nature instead? This is not for us to comprehend.

Our Rudrakshas are home grown, in our estate, organically. Like our paintings, we did not grow the Rudraksha trees to make a profit. We planted them a few years back, as a part of our tree growing drive. One such fine day, whilst our owner walked through the estate, he found a rudraksha bead fallen on the ground. He picked it up only to find another one close by. And then some more. Surprised, and a sudden joy welling up from within, he looked up, to behold the tall rudraksha trees bearing the shiny blue divine fruits. And so our rudraksha picking began, collecting the fruits that fell off the tree. We rarely pick them from the tree, as we do not wish to cause any harm to the tree, or make it commercial. We only pick what has fallen on the ground, mostly naturally. Monkeys have increased in numbers over the years and have also been feasting on these fruits. We take care to pick and segregate rudrakshas, so that only the undamaged, good looking ones make it to the selling list.

We take utmost care in packing and shipping the painting to you.

May our painting bring you pure happiness, a sense of satiety that the artist felt and poured into it, and become your cozy corner of peace, your valuable collection that you can proudly show , but most of all, may it be the thing that reminds you of the brilliance of creation when you see it at dusk, golden rays of Sun caressing it.
